Febuary 1998, After the Frankie Bones video “Refuse to Fight” aired on mtv’s late night techno show AMP, the word was out., the rave scene needed music videos. Techno previously was too underground for MTV. .Cihan Kaan aka 8Bit had been making videos for techno music. A new movie was out. You might have heard of it, “Blade II” and this song needed a video. Problem was, there was no budget (yea right!). TVT/Wax Trax Records needed the video shot with 3 days notice, on film! What you are about to see is that video which aired briefly on MTV. Sets were constructed at 88 North 11th in Brooklyn New York, now Beacons Closet — than, our loft. Props were designed by hand. The story was written and the “film” shot in 3 days, complete set construction and a crew of 15 hardcore talent. This video follows the musicians as they track the nefarious “Wall Street” con-man with a satellite, kidnap him and perform sonic experiments to save the world from greed. Subplots occur on surveillance cameras. Written and Directed by: Cihan Kaan, Editor: Jackie Kamhaji
