Does not work in XP
@kevkonk Due to copyright limitations most digital audio systems have some protections built in to keep a person from being able to split the audio stream, which is why you can’t have audio running out of two separate channels at the same time. You will run into this for digital video as well, particularly HD video.
@howto4u
Ok Thanks, I thought I would be able to use HDMI cable to a television in another room from my pc and be able to watch and listen in both rooms.
@kevkonk It depends on how you are connected. For example, if your monitor has speakers and you are running HDMI, then your monitor will take over the sound.
@V1olentGoddess Glad it helped
omg thank you
Hi,
Can you tell me if it is normal to lose sound on pc when connected to external monitor,
still doesnt work it used to :/
i try that …and NOTHING !!!!!!! HDIM MY A–
@Gifted23 Try uninstalling and reinstalling the audio drivers. Or download the latest driver from the original device manufacturer (such Realtek) and then install it. This seems to solve most problems like this.
I have G62 HP laptop and I’m having this same issue with the HDMI sound output I don’t see any of these options I have the right drivers installed but I don’t see the options to swicth to HDMI out it worked in the pass but for some reason now it won’t work how do I fix this
it says its not conned, but i have connected my hdmi cable properly… HELP!!!
@TheLagendex If your audio card has an HDMI out port, then you should probably try to install the latest drivers for your audio card to see if it recognizes the HDMI port. If you don’t have an HDMI port on the audio card, then it probably doesn’t support HDMI.
what if I don’t have the realtek HDMI audio output option? what should I do?
mhm, i caant hear you
@MandolinforJesus Well, you may want to see if it has a properties screen and see if there are any similar things you can change.
that was a long great video, not much information though. What do you do when HDMI realtek DOESNT pop up but rather “SONY TV, Intel(R) Display Audio, Default Communications Device” ? This is poopy. What do you recommend? I feel like ive been up for a week, and i should either figure this out or get lifted on some of that strawberry organic
@fafoue77 I’m glad it helped. Thanks for taking the time to let us know
Than you so much for this video, I swear i was like Sergio, i messed around with all the audio settings on my computer and TV, and nothing. now i feel stupid cause its so simple once you see this, and it worked…Thank you!!!!
you are incredible. says my wife.
Hey its SERGIO thumbs up if you get the reference
